In December last year, unofficial data appeared that the welding part of the long-wheelbase Niva Legend 5d was mothballed at AVTOVAZ. By this time, the five-door modification had not been made for several months. And so the same source reports in January 2023 that long-term body welding Niva has started working again.
According to these data, it is planned to assemble about 40 cars per day to produce more than 2.6 thousand cars by May, as indicated in the new state order for this modification of the SUV.
Za Rulem’s website asked the manufacturer’s press service whether it is really intended to resume assembly of these machines and in what volumes?
“So far there are no such plans,” said Sergey Ilyinsky, director of communications at AvtoVAZ.
Thus, the plant does not plan to sell the long-wheelbase Niva for free in the near future.
