From 1 June 2023, international policies for cars with Russian numbers will no longer be valid in almost all European countries.
It turns out that many countries of the continent have already concluded bilateral agreements with our country on the mutual recognition of green cards – international motor third-party liability insurance policies that have been in force since 2009 in 48 countries, including Russia.
So from the beginning of summer, when Russians travel abroad with their car, they will have to buy an OSAGO policy from the country they are entering. At the same time, the Russian green card continues to work in countries such as Azerbaijan, Belarus, Turkey, Iran, Israel, Tunisia, Morocco and the UK.
