In 2022, Japanese cars accounted for 23% of all transactions made online, Korean – 20% and German – 19%, experts from SberAvto and YuKassa found.
The share of domestic models – 12%, American – 8%, Chinese – 8% and French – 6%.
Most popular brands
Among the brands, the Korean Kia and Hyundai are in the lead: cars from these brands were preferred by 10% and 9% of buyers respectively. Lada cars take third place – they were chosen by 8% of service users, Nissan is in fourth place, and Toyota closes the top five.
According to Chinese cars, the preferences of Russians were divided as follows:
- Chery – 44% (of all Chinese car brands sold)
- Halal – 14%
- Yellowish – 13%.
Most popular models
The most popular model of the year, which was preferred to buy online, was the Hyundai Solaris. The median check for the purchase of this car was 750 thousand rubles (in 2021 – 685 thousand rubles). Next in popularity:
- Kia Rio (average cost in 2022 – 842,500 rubles, a year earlier – 850 thousand rubles)
- Lada Granta (570 thousand rubles against 430 thousand a year earlier)
- Ford Focus (534 thousand rubles against 413 thousand a year earlier).
The most popular models among Chinese cars in the past year were: Chery Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro, Haval F7 and Exeed VX, Chery Tiggo 4, Haval Jolion and Geely Atlas.

The average check for the online purchase of a car last year was 980 thousand rubles, and in 2021 it will be 790 thousand rubles.
