AVTOVAZ is ready to attract new partners to work at the St. Petersburg plant, which passed from the Nissan concern that left Russia, including those for the production of electric vehicles. This was announced by the president of the Russian car manufacturer Maxim Sokolov during a meeting with the chairman of the regional branch of the Union of Mechanical Engineers Alexander Gurov.

“The president of AVTOVAZ emphasized that the new site for the plant has great potential, and the company is ready to consider additional partner projects for it, for example, for the production of an electric car made in St. Petersburg,” — is stated in the company’s message.

Production of several Chinese models at the St. Petersburg plant AVTOVAZ is planned to start in the second half of 2023. Class C and D sedans will receive either Lada or dual branding as a result of cooperation with Chinese partners.
