An entrepreneur from Kalmykia, who bought the property of a bankrupt traffic camera operator in Dagestan, was unable to dismantle and sell them, and was also accused of increasing traffic accidents, informs Telegram channel Mash.
According to him, in 2014, 69 photo-video recording complexes were purchased under the Safe Dagestan program and worked until 2017, during which time they registered violations worth 400 million rubles. Then the company SRT Service, which bought and installed them, went bankrupt and the cameras themselves were shut down.
In 2022, his property was bought by Nikolai Kokushev, a Kalmykian entrepreneur who would rent and sell them, but the equipment was not there as it was confiscated by the ex-president of Safe Dagestan. Also, the businessman was accused by the local Ministry of Emergencies of increasing deaths on the roads. In response, Mash alleges, Kokushev filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Emergencies, demanding that the accusations of increasing road deaths for the sake of profit be dismissed.
