Chita residents left a stolen safe with money due to a damaged car. informs MIA Media.
The incident occurred at the end of October last year in the village of Urulga in the Trans-Baikal Territory. At night, two men stole a 300kg safe containing about 1 million rubles and customers’ bank cards from a bank branch.
The accomplices forcibly opened the office doors, cut the wiring and de-energized the alarm system. Since it was not possible to open the safe right away, they pulled it into the street and planned to load it in a car and take it there. They went to work on a used foreign car, which they had recently bought and did not save privately.
One of the thieves, who drove the car to the entrance door of the building, crashed into the pavement and damaged the car’s chassis. As a result, his accomplices fled, leaving an unusable car with a heavy safe at the scene.
The police arrested two suspects, born in 1991 and 1996, a criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the defendants were detained.
