In 2023, AVTOVAZ aims to produce 10,000 Lada vehicles at the St. Petersburg plant according to the SKD method.

According to the general director of the company Maxim Sokolov, the company plans to produce machines of classes C and D.

Cars will be produced under the Lada brand or under a dual brand – as a result of cooperation with Chinese partners. Negotiations with several Chinese companies are ongoing and nearing completion, AVTOVAZ head said.

“Until we say what kind of cars they are, it is possible that there will be more than one company. We plan to assemble C and D class cars, which did not exist before. First SKD assembly and later the localization of nodes and components. We will use Nissan and Hyundai suppliers in St. Petersburg”, said Sokolov.

It is planned to begin assembly of 60-70 thousand cars in 2024 at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg.
