But the capabilities of the complexes are much broader, and in 2-3 years the cameras will be able to detect cars with dangerous goods and find citizens who are on the wanted list.
As the general manager of the company Astralab (development of software for traffic police and TsODD cameras) Sergey Laskin explained, cars with a “dangerous goods” sign – for example, fuel trucks and other trucks – cannot be driven everywhere and not always.
As for the identification of wanted citizens (debtors, criminals, missing persons and others), for this it will be necessary to add a facial recognition module to the hardware and software complex. But it won’t be easy to do this since there is not yet a single biometric database with tens of millions of drivers.
