During sudden changes in temperature and winter precipitation, the car can become covered with ice.
Anton Shaparin, vice president of the National Automobile Union, talked about how to prepare a car for such a situation.
So, to stop the formation of frost on the windows, you can apply “anti-rain” – a chemical water-repellent substance that creates a protective film. Thanks to this film, less moisture will accumulate on the glass, and the car will be easier to clean.
If the car is in the parking lot, it is better to raise the wipers so that the water drains out. Windshield wipers should be updated once per season, according to Shaparin.
With regard to frozen doors and ice formation on locks, the specialist advised the use of silicone grease: with this you treat the rubber surfaces of doors and locks.
