The first generation Land Rover used by Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain will be sold in February 2023 by British auction house Silverstone.

Released in late 1953, the SUV was run by the British Royal Family until 1966. By order of the Queen, it was sent to the Balmoral estate, where it was used alongside Elizabeth II by the Queen Mother Elizabeth, Prince Philip, and Prince Charles.

Land Rover’s new owner has restored it and used it very carefully throughout its ownership. The car was displayed on the BBC Antiques Roadshow and also spearheaded the Land Rover parade, held to mark the anniversary of the Queen’s reign.

For a rarity at auction, the aim is to fetch around £100-150k.
