Somewhere in the United States, on private land, slowly turning into an open graveyard of old, rusty and dismantled Volkswagen Beetles, stood a caravan. And in this caravan was a perfectly preserved copy of an old Volkswagen model, which has been stored in such an unusual hiding place since 2010.
This is a 1950s Volkswagen. The split window (two-piece rear window), the body color between green and gray, the cream wheels to match the upholstery and the chrome trim give the car an unmistakable retro charm that fans of vintage cars will love.
The history of the car is little known, it is possible that it has already been restored in the past, which also explains the excellent state of maintenance. He is said to have appeared in the September 1984 issue of the American magazine Hot VWs.
There are no visible rust spots on the surface. Inside, the car is also well preserved for a vehicle that has stood still for so long. Nothing is said about the condition of the technical part, which, even if unaffected, requires some restoration before the car can be driven again after twelve years of standing still.
Now the restorers will bring this “pearl” to perfect condition.
