And, of course, the famous UAZ-469, which was delivered to fifty countries around the world, had one. However, the van based on the “469th”, which you see in the photo, has a steering wheel on the right, not at all because of the export design.
The UAZ-469P van with a wheelbase of 2580 mm and an extended rear overhang was designed by order of the Ministry of Communications, and the letter “P” in the index means nothing but “mail”.
A total of two prototypes were made, one of which had a steering wheel on the right – the idea of facilitating the postman’s access to a wall-mounted letterbox was developed. However, the item “goat” is not included in any of the options in the series. It’s a pity – it turned out to be an interesting car!
