Unusual advertising The campaign was launched by the German online car dealer mobile.de. Because it is no longer easy to get a place under the sun in this open space, the retailer decided to draw attention to itself in this way.

The car of one of the first customers of the new online service was delivered to her front door in Hamburg in a large “sneaker box”.

In early December, an orange “shoebox” measuring 4.90 x 2.35 meters drove a van through the streets of the city, arousing the curiosity of passersby. “Recumbent” was a VW T-Cross, bought with one click on the site and delivered free of charge to the new owner.

When the box opened for Jennifer Meyer and rolled out of her car, the customer’s amazement knew no bounds. And the purchase was personally delivered by the head of the sales department of the online service.

“With the new mobile.de, buying a car is as easy as buying sneakers online, and this XL shoe box is proof of that. With us, ordering, processing and shipping is now just as easy,” explains Matthias Schmidt.

However, he clarified that customers will have to do without such packaging in the future, but the meaning of the purchase is the same: choose and pay for your car online, then wait for it to be delivered to the front door.

It is also curious that all cars have a 1-year warranty and can return the purchase within 21 days if the slightest problem arises.
