Motorsports promoter and showman Ken Block, 55, died in Utah while riding a snowmobile and rolled over. The equipment fell right on the athlete. Ken died on the spot from his injuries.

“We are deeply sorry to confirm that Ken Block was killed in a snowmobile accident today. Ken was a pioneer and an icon. We will miss him incredibly,” the Hoonigan racing team said in a statement on its official website.

Blok is not so much famous for his sporting achievements as for the way he presented himself and his hobbies. The racer knew how to create a show, and millions of people followed the rally with his participation.

He starred in ten commercials for Jimkhan, which received half a billion views. In the video, Ken performs absolutely insane stunts: drifting around on a gyro scooter, flying up in a car, sweeping just inches off concrete blocks.

Ken Block started racing at almost 40 years old. Worked with Vermont SportsCar, Monster World Rally teams. Subaru was a sponsor for some time.
