The Russian automobile brand Moskvich will be able to sell 25-30 thousand crossovers in 2023, if the price of the car is about 2 million rubles. Such an estimate in an interview with socialbites.ca was given by Sergey Burgazliev, an independent consultant in the automotive industry.

“In a good scenario for the development of the situation, if the cost of the car is around 2 million rubles, then Russian dealers will be able to sell 25-30 thousand Muscovites. In a bad scenario, no more than 10-12k cars will be sold when the price goes up. If a car is affixed with a price tag of around 3 million rubles, this will scare away private buyers, ”the statement said.

In 2023, 50,000 Muscovites believe that their production plans will not be realized. The source explained that this was due to the fact that the factory did not have full-fledged production and SKD was not established. Burgazliev suggested that Moskvich’s dealer network is poorly developed, perhaps there will be some changes from January.

According to the forecast of the Avtostat agency, in 2023 about 600 thousand new cars will be sold in Russia. Burgazliev admitted that if the sales situation develops well, the Moskvich brand can get a share of 0.4-0.6 percent of the domestic market this year.

formerly Burgazliev declarationThat new cars from the Iranian automaker Kerman Motors (KMC) will cost from 750 thousand to 2.7 million rubles if they appear on the Russian market.
