In the week after New Year’s Eve, it’s hard to resist the temptation to drink, but drivers need to recover quickly to avoid dangerous excesses on the road. Psychiatrist Sergei Polyatykin gave some advice on how to do this.
According to him, it is better not to drink strong drinks after 10 p.m., because the body needs rest at night. Also, do not drink more than 50 ml of vodka or 150 ml of wine – the body can process such doses without harm to itself. It is necessary to start a feast with food, and not with alcohol. Alcohol should wait 30-40 minutes until you eat something, preferably hot.
Many people wonder: how long should you wait after a feast before getting behind the wheel? The expert has an answer for that too.
“It is important that after drinking alcohol at least one day passes before someone is allowed to drive. The process of getting rid of alcohol, of course, is very individual, and then there is also a varied diet, fatty, spicy food. Therefore, you need to be as careful as possible to avoid problems with the traffic police, ”said Sergey Polyatykin.
By the way, we once checked whether it is possible to get drunk on kefir, fermented baked milk or kvass. Answer in this video:
