The promising IZH-VNIITE, which appeared at the end of the 60s, was clearly not handsome, but it was distinguished by a number of innovative solutions.

Body – with the then unusual name of a hatchback. Both side doors slide backwards when opened: the guides were on the roof. The doorways were surprisingly wide, allowing for easy access to the back row of seats. The back door opened and the lamps fit on the side posts: then it was a curiosity.

The car did not go into the series: it was immediately clear that its path was in the museum.
