The court found that the man got behind the wheel twice while intoxicated in October 2022, and each time he drove different cars of his own. In both cases, the violation was detected by the traffic police. It also turned out that at that time the man had already been punished for driving while intoxicated and refusing to undergo a medical examination.
The court found the driver guilty of two offenses under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation gave a sentence of 2 years and 4 months on probation with a probationary period of 3 years, and also prohibited him from engaging in activities related to driving for three years.
“According to the court decision, both cars of the convict in which the crimes were committed were converted into state revenue,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
