Alexei Starikov, Deputy General Manager for New Car Sales of Avilon AG, said that the start of sales of Jetta VA3 cars in Russia is expected at the beginning of next year. transmits “Russian newspaper”.
According to Starikov, the Jetta VA3 is a converted Volkswagen Jetta sedan for China that has nothing to do with the Jetta cars the Russians are known for.
“Temporarily we expect these vehicles to arrive in January 2023. We decided to bring them, because at the moment the budget segment of the market is in a noticeable deficit. Especially in models such as Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai Solaris, Kia Rio, there are noticeable deficiencies. That’s why we expect high demand for the Jetta VA3 worth 1.75 million rubles.”
The first batch will include about 400 cars, but if the model is in demand in the market, Avilon plans to bring the Jetta VA3 permanently and in increased volumes in the future.
The Jetta VA3 is equipped with a 112 hp 1.5 liter naturally aspirated EA211 engine. (145 Nm) is powered by a 6-speed “automatic” Aisin. The package includes ESP, tire pressure monitoring system, heated side mirrors, front airbags. It is stated that the platform of the car is the same as the previous generation Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Polo.
Previously reporteddealers started selling new Lincoln Nautilus crossovers in Russia.
