The Central Bank of Russia does not support the idea of the Russian Union of Auto Insurers to use used parts in OSAGO repairs.
“There is no clear and effective mechanism to ensure road safety when using such parts. In addition, the use of used parts without the consent of the victim will significantly increase the number of disputes about the quality of both installed parts and renovation,” – the press service of the regulator.
The Central Bank has already brought its position to the attention of the professional community and interested departments.
The proposal to use used parts was made by the chairman of the RSA Evgeny Ufimtsev. The project may be launched in Primorsky Krai as an experiment in the first quarter of next year.
