As the head of the Council of Ministers of Crimea, Yuriy Gotsanyuk, said, heavy trucks on the Crimean Bridge will start running only from March 2023. While transit is closed for them, they use diversions and a ferry crossing.
“As for the passage of heavy trucks over the bridge, by spring, by March, they must restore the work of the Crimean bridge, and they will go,” the official said on the Millet TV channel broadcast.
In the meantime, only cars and buses with people are allowed on the bridge.
Every day 600-700 cars use the ferry near the Crimean bridge.
Recall that the passage of trucks on the Crimean Bridge will be closed from December 11, 2022. The ban applies to vehicles with a payload of more than 1.5 tonnes.
This because of the risk of a repeat of the terrorist attack on the bridge on 8 October.
