According to the conditions of the competition, the participant must send the video of the accident he took to the police. A special commission will select the best, and the winners will receive prizes in the amount of 10,000 Thai baht (21,000 rubles).
It was noted that the competition was held on the eve of New Year’s Eve – the “seven dangerous days” – when the police recorded the most accidents each year. In Thailand, 333 people were killed and 2,672 injured in traffic accidents that occurred between December 29 and January 4 last year.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of road safety and reduce traffic accidents.
