The expert of Za Rulem, the oldest and most authoritative automotive publication in Russia, Nikita Gudkov, carefully studied all the features of Moskvich 3. His report is very interesting.
In particular, he found out that Moskvich 3 had been acquired from KAMAZ, one of the main partners of the Moscow plant.
It turns out that according to the documents, Moskvich is not Moskvich. This is KAMAZ. Meet KAMAZ-2135. It is this industry index that is embedded in the crossover OTTS. Documents for the car were prepared by KAMAZ – as a key technical partner of Moskvich. Therefore, the cars sold are given KAMAZ VINs (the first letters of which are XTC) – don’t be surprised.
Moskvich 3 has other names. For example, the factory code looks like this: DA21. The electric version of the crossover receives the factory code DA22. At the same time, in China, where the car comes from, it is called JAC Jiayue X4 and JAC JS4. Which name is more beautiful? Probably Moskvich 3.
In addition, KAMAZ affected the power of the crossover engine. In China, the power of the car is 136 horsepower. and 200 Nm. At the same time, the engine is the same – a 1.5-liter turbo engine. For Russia it was decided to increase the power to 150 hp. (gasoline is recommended for the 92nd at the same time). With a manual gearbox, the car was very playful. The motor can also be combined with a variator. Later they promise the appearance of a 1.6-liter atmospheric engine with a capacity of 108 horsepower.
