AvtoVAZ plans to export about 20,000 vehicles by 2023.

In particular, the Russian automaker is simultaneously considering the possibility of entering new markets for itself in African countries, said Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

Earlier, AvtoVAZ president Maxim Sokolov announced plans to supply cars for export.

The possibility of entering Moskvich’s foreign markets is not yet being considered, Manturov noted, emphasizing that it is first necessary to meet the demand in the domestic market.

“This approach is now widely relevant, not only for Moskvich, but also for other car manufacturers. At the same time, the EAEU countries and the CIS countries traditionally remain important markets for the Russian automotive industry.” added the deputy prime minister.
