The price increase for Lada cars in 2023 will be significantly less than expected inflation, said Maxim Sokolov, president of AvtoVAZ. At least, such figures have been recorded at the company so far.

The Bank of Russia forecasts inflation for next year in the region of 5-7%, and the Ministry of Economic Development – at the level of 5.5%.

“Until now, we assumed that price growth is lower than inflation… There are fewer inflation forecasts, and significantly fewer,” he said in response to a question about prices in 2023.

Today, AvtoVAZ already has three sites for the production of cars: in Togliatti, Izhevsk and St. Petersburg (former Nissan plant).

Now the brand consists of four families of models: Vesta, Largus, Granta and Niva.

Three more new models will be added to this line in 2023. These will be cars of the non-budget segment, classes C and D. Negotiations with Chinese colleagues on their creation are already underway.
