The metro, the Moscow Central Circle (MCC) and ground transportation on New Year’s Eve (from 8 PM on December 31 to 6 AM on January 1) are free for passengers. According to the press service of the capital’s mayor, public transport, including the most popular land transport routes, will run all night.
The metro broadcasts live the New Year’s speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin. And congratulations recorded by the voices of popular performers will be heard on the escalators and in land transport.
There are no plans to close road sections on New Year’s Eve.
On public holidays from January 1 to January 8, 2023, parking in the paid parking zone is free, with the exception of closed parking spaces with a barrier.
