Employees of the criminal investigation department, along with soldiers of the special forces of the Russian Guard, detained an auto-substitute nicknamed Nervny, who, together with an accomplice, arranged an accident in Krasnoyarsk. informs Telegram channel Kras Mash.
The men are suspected of a string of insurance scams said At the Main Directorate of the Krasnoyarsk Territory of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Police found that two local residents (aged 31 and 21) sitting in an Opel Zafira in October braked hard when the driver of the car behind did not keep a safe distance, causing an accident.
As a result of the accident, an insured incident occurred, for which the Toyota Vitz driver, who went behind, was responsible, according to the suspects’ plan. Later it turned out that the residents of Krasnoyarsk were involved in three more such accidents. Accidents occurred at roundabouts – the attackers collided with those leaving the second lane. The total amount of damage exceeded 650 thousand rubles.
A criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Art. 159.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud in the field of insurance”. The sanction provides for a prison sentence of up to 10 years. All cars were confiscated from auto-substitutes.
