Choose battery? Note the country of origin

Drivers don’t buy batteries every day. Therefore, such an acquisition should be approached carefully, having studied all the nuances. For example, it is very important to pay attention to the country where the battery is produced.

For Asian models, batteries are usually higher than batteries of similar capacity for European cars. Therefore, “Europeans” can be used on cars from the East, but vice versa will not work.

Another important difference is the fuses for the positive wire, which modern cars are equipped with. This can also cause problems when installing a battery from the wrong manufacturer.

In oriental specimens, the ends protrude above the body (they are both round and flat). And European ones always have two round post outlets, which are recessed into niches. So this should also be taken into account when choosing a battery.

“Do not miss the measure! Most mass batteries have the same width – about 175 mm. The total height of the “Europeans” is about 190 mm. “Asians” get “growth” from protruding pole conclusions – the total height of such batteries reaches 225- 227mm,” experts advise.
