Technical regulations strictly limit the color of the backlight (white, red). Even replacing conventional headlights with LED ones threatens with a fine of 500 rubles (Part 1 of Article 12.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). And if non-standard lamps with multi-colored lights are installed in lighting devices, then the problems can be more serious.

For example, the non-formatted lighting of a license plate with rainbow lighting can be considered a violation of the traffic rules and can be punished by deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for a period of six months to a year with the confiscation of these devices and devices (Part 3 of Article 12.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation).

In other words, a colorful garland on the front or modified blue or rainbow LED daytime running lights can lead to the loss of the driver’s license.
