In Kaliningrad, a passenger attacked a taxi driver with a knife, but the driver managed to disarm the criminal and take him into custody. informs Regional Directorate of Ministry of Interior.
It was determined that a passenger asked the Volkswagen Polo driver to stop near the village of Kashtanovka, got off and tried to stab him with a knife. A fight broke out, the taxi driver managed to take the knife from the attacker’s hand, remove the keys from the ignition and exit the passenger cabin. The 32-year-old driver managed to arrest the assailant, called the police and held the assailant until the police arrived.
“The prisoner said that he originally came to the Kaliningrad region to work. At night, he suddenly felt a desire to have someone else’s car: to fulfill the plan, he called a taxi and asked to be taken to a deserted place, ”the police said.
The attacker turned out to be a 31-year-old visitor from Nadym (YaNAO). A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. The suspect named “Theft” in Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation was taken into custody.
