The KAMAZ brand will not be used for this business, Kogogin said.
According to him, KAMAZ would not be involved in the passenger car business, but in the current situation on the market, this has a “social function”.
“I admit that AVTOVAZ will be able to produce up to half a million cars, they have the capacity, but our consumer has long been very intelligent and would like to have a choice,”Kogogin said.
He stressed that KAMAZ will invest in electric propulsion projects and that Russia should return to a situation where 80% of the market is supplied by its own production.
