In the coming year, sales of “Chinese” in Russia should grow.
Next year, importers of Chinese cars will not significantly increase prices for Russia, with a maximum of 5-10%, says Maxim Shishko, general manager of AVTODOM Subscription.
He noted that the Chinese will not be very active in the Russian market, especially bringing premium brands to the market. This could lead to export restrictions for them in the US and European markets.
“The brands we already have are also in no rush to introduce new models and increase volumes. There is economic potential for price reduction, but they buy more risk and we end up paying more. Politically, the potential for price reductions is not yet visible.” – shared the expert.
Now the share of Chinese cars in the Russian market is about 15%, but sales of “Chinese” cars in Russia should grow next year, Shishko suggested.
