A curious infographic compiled by the National Agency for Industrial Information has appeared on the internet. It illustrates the market for new passenger cars in Russia by country of origin of the brand.
According to this data, China is the only country whose manufacturers increased sales in Russia in 2022. But it is important to note that this increase is quite small – in fact, sales of “Chinese” have maintained its size. But all other manufacturers fell heavily: domestic brands, for example, reduced sales by 50.3% over 10 months.
This allowed China to increase its market share of new passenger cars in Russia. However, the share of Russian manufacturers has also grown slightly, despite the drop in sales, while the rest has “decreased” much more.
