In the last month of autumn, the number of document re-registrations for cars in the SUV segment increased by 8% compared to October – from 123,483 to 133,102 cars. Leadership is in the hands of Niva (VAZ-2121 and its derivatives) – an increase of 7.6%, namely from 7831 to 8430 cars.
In second place is Chevrolet Niva, such used cars were bought 13% more willingly than a month earlier: 4736 cars against 4297 in October. Toyota RAV4 ranked third in used crossovers with 4,736 vehicles in November versus 4,297 in October, an increase of 10.2%. The top five most used SUVs also included Toyota Land Cruiser and Kia Sportage.
Interestingly, if we compare the periods from January to November in 2021 and 2022, a decline is visible in the segment of used crossovers: instead of 1,375,679 cars a year earlier, the Russians bought only 1,218,526 used SUVs, which is 11.4% less. But in comparisons purely for November (2021 and 2022), the difference is quite small – 134,373 and 133,102 cars. It should be added that the new car market has dropped by more than half this year.
