Be that as it may, do not rush to remember the stereotypical method – pour boiling water over the castle! Expert “Behind the wheel” Ilya Pimenov says that sooner or later the water will freeze, and if you do not have time to properly dry the door, a new problem awaits you.
A kettle with boiling water is better used in another way: pour water into a heating pad and apply it to the lock. If there is no heating pad, you can use a cup and warm the metal part of the key in water. Before inserting the key, give it a quick wipe to prevent moisture from entering the lock.
In general, there are many ways to defrost locks and other important parts of the car.
