For the first time in history, Chinese-made cars have become the best-selling cars in the Russian market.
For the period from December 12 to December 18, 2022, Russians bought 3,742 new passenger cars of Chinese brands, or 34.8% of the total number of cars sold.
During the same period, cars of domestic brands were purchased in the amount of 3715 units, most of which – 3489 – were accounted for by AVTOVAZ products.
Of the “Chinese”, the best-selling were Chery (1439 units), Geely (997 units) and Haval (705 units). In addition to them, the Korean brand Kia (778 units) entered the top 5.
