In the Smolensk region, a custom project based on the 1964 GAZ-21 Volga was put up for sale. The body of the original car as a whole kept its dimensions and proportions, but was thoroughly redesigned. The main eye-catching difference is of course the roof, whose function is now fulfilled by a soft convertible top. What car served as a donor of this element is unknown, there is only an assumption that the “top” is completely man-made.
The second important point on the body – doors. There are now only two of them, they are wide, without window frames (only the sloping part of the “fortress” next to the body style is preserved) and open.

Just like the whole car as a whole, if you don’t take into account inconsistencies that are insignificant to custom, such as the native radiator grille (GAZ-21 of the third series) and deer figurines on the hood (GAZ-21 of the first and second series) .
Also under the hood, the changes are great – there is an in-line six-cylinder BMW M50 engine with a displacement of 2 liters and a power of 150 hp. Detailed information about the transmission is not given in the announcement on Avito, but most likely the Bavarian mechanics of the engine transfer the torque to the rear axle.
Most of the interior, judging by the photo, was also borrowed from BMW. The seats are equipped with electric drive and seat belts, have leather upholstery. The indicated price also includes the original trailer, made from the back of another of the same white Volga. For the whole set, the seller asks 2,500,000 rubles, but is willing to give in a little.
The car is positioned not only as a recreational vehicle, but also as an income source that can generate income from photo shoots, graduations, weddings, advertisements and movies. You can participate in exhibitions – prizes are guaranteed according to the author of the project.
And most importantly, the car is completely legal, framed as a GAZ-21 in the back of a convertible, because there is an entry in the TCP. All documents are prepared, from the traffic police clearance for re-equipment, to drawings and certificates by the US.
