The plant of the Hyundai concern in St. Petersburg sent notices to employees about the termination of employment contracts. We can talk about reducing up to 80% of employees while the enterprise itself will undergo conservation.

Agreements on termination of the contract are signed from January 16 to February 3, dismissals – from January 23 to February 17.

As of February 20, if the number of employees cannot be reduced to the level set by the company, a dismissal will be carried out in accordance with the Russian labor law.

The company’s CEO said in a statement to employees that the decision was a result of a shortage of auto parts caused by global disruptions in logistics supply chains.

The terms of termination of contracts by agreement of the parties will be announced separately.

It is assumed that employees will receive 12 salaries.

“Due to the continuous shutdown of production processes, Hyundai Motor is taking steps to optimize the workforce in Russia”— confirmed in the company’s press service.
