For example, the program proposes that information boards be placed on the roads with data on at least nine parameters, including weather conditions, repair work and the road situation in general.

With their help, drivers can choose the best route and avoid traffic jams.

Display boards with changing information will be installed on major urban roads and streets throughout the city with continuous traffic (where there are no regulated intersections, pedestrian crossings) and shall cover at least 50% of their length.

Work on the introduction of ITS is carried out in urban agglomerations with a population of more than 300 thousand people. The program involves 49 cities from 42 regions, including Bashkiria, Buryatia, Udmurtia, Chuvashia, Yakutia, Altai, Zabaikalsky, Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk Territories, Belgorod, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kemerovo, Kirov and Kursk.

The sharp increase in traffic in cities required new solutions for the safety and comfort of people.

The federal budget allocates more than 5 billion rubles for these purposes next year.
