The Mercedes-Benz Actros from Turkey, which broke down near the village, was on the road for four days. Khalil and Ali could not leave the car because of the value of the cargo, just as they could not contact the authorities – it later turned out that in these places there was only communication on a hill, which was located a kilometer from the accident.
As a result, the locals helped: Ilnar Yunusov towed the frozen truck to his motorcycle depot, settled there his Turkish colleagues in trouble and ordered the necessary parts from Nizhny Novgorod.
As the roles roll in, Khalil and Ali get to know local life. The Tatars living in the village help overcome the language barrier – they have related languages, so communication was established.
“They gave them felt boots, they were very surprised what kind of shoes they were. Now they go to them alone, very pleased. We realized how warm boots are”, – say the residents of Karabay-Shemursha. They also say that the children really liked the Russian banya, in which Turkish truck drivers can bathe for hours with birch brooms.
