There are many ideas for placing the much-needed charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in areas where there is little space for it (for example in the city center).
Some see the solution in integrating charging stations into street lighting, others suggest mounting them in curbs. And this British company decided to “plant” trees. Not a classic one, of course – these charging stations just look like trees.
Space required for a SolarBotanic Trees Ltd charging point. more will be needed than in the previous examples, but in terms of aesthetics, this product looks much more advantageous.
As examples of where they would look good, SolarBotanic Trees lists airport parking lots, shopping malls, sports stadiums, and convention centers.
The boom charging station has another advantage: it uses solar technology and thus supplies itself with the necessary energy. The “crown” consists of 3D nanophotovoltaic “leaves” that the British say can collect enough sunlight to power not just an electric car, but an entire house.
In addition, it is possible to combine individual “trees” into a network, which is managed by artificial intelligence.
