- The complexity and capriciousness of the device itself. The experience of implementation on school buses in Tatarstan in 2010 showed that about half of all devices did not work correctly;
- Impossibility of strict control. Attempts to use it in car-sharing indicate that motorists easily find ways to bypass the alcolock.
It is also noted that attempts to place car-sharing drivers in a separate group by means of alcolocks are not morally correct.
Where the alcolock finds and will continue to be used, it is on expensive heavy vehicles. Drivers of cars will have to rely only on their own caution.
