But, of course, the crossover is nothing like its 37-year-old predecessor.
Saipa is the largest car manufacturer in Iran and produces many interesting cars based on outdated models. Saipa Atlas is an improved version of the Quick crossover, which was designed on the basis of the 1986 Kia Pride.
This is a fairly compact car, 3989 mm long. That is, in terms of size Atlas similar to Ford EcoSport, Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kwid and Lada Niva Legend in three-door version.
The Atlas has been redesigned with narrow, modern headlights and a Ford-inspired grille with vertical stripes complemented by dynamic lines on the bonnet. The air intake in the bumper, in which fog lights are engraved, has acquired a complex shape.
New modern lights and a bumper with a fake deflector also appeared at the rear.
Saipa draws attention to the rich palette of Atlas body colors – there are many different shades and they can be combined with each other. We are talking about bright accents on the mirrors and bumpers.
The cabin has a 7-inch infotainment screen and an updated audio system. The equipment list also includes automatic LED headlights, power seats, heated mirrors, sunroof, blind spot monitoring system and more. Sound insulation has been improved, including between the passenger compartment and the engine compartment.
Under the hood of the Atlas is a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine with an output of 88 hp. and 128 Nm. In combination with it, a manual or a variator can be installed. The crossover is front-wheel drive only.
