Euro NCAP Crash tests performed on three models. Two of them are not of interest to us, because they are not supplied to Russia (Honda HR-V and DS 4 from the company Lemon), and the third may be a new generation of Lada Largus – Dacia Jogger.
The result of the Dacia Jogger crash tests is disappointing – only one star. Even the new Dacia Sandero had two (the absence of others was explained by the lack of driver assistance systems in the car, which significantly influence the results).
Most interestingly, the Dacia Jogger itself has not undergone crash testing. The fact is that the model is built on the same platform as the Dacia Sandero Stepway, with many common details. And last year, the Sandero Stepway was crash tested, including the safety systems.
For example, Jogger automatically received the results of the Sandero crash test. But it’s not a 2-star rating, as the estate is not equipped with a seatbelt reminder in the third row. And this is minus a few points, which led to a rating of “1 star”.
Jogger received a 70 percent rating for protecting adults and a 69 percent rating for protecting children. The level of pedestrian protection was 41%, and security systems – 39%.
