KAMAZ will cooperate with Turkey in making vehicles

KAMAZ general manager Sergey Kogogin announced his willingness to expand cooperation with Turkish companies. He said this at a business forum held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bursa Province (Turkey).

This involved the joint production of electric vehicles, charging stations and batteries.

Kogogin said his company is ready to provide Turkish manufacturers with “a stable volume of orders for auto parts supply”.

Turkey already has experience in building electric vehicles, with the recent opening of the TOGG factory as an example.

TOGG (short for Türkiye’nin Otomobili Girişim Grubu A.Ş.) is a Turkish car company focused on the production of electric sedans and crossovers. At the end of November, the first crossovers already rolled off the assembly line, the car was personally tested by the president of the country Recep Tayyip Erdogan.


Up to 100 km / h, the crossover accelerates in 4.8 seconds, it is equipped with a battery, the charge of which is enough for 500 km.

The series production date for the crossover is planned for 2023, the sedan – for 2024. First, the cars from the plant will be delivered to the domestic market, exports to other countries are planned no earlier than 2025.
