The UAE company Inkas Vehicles is known all over the world. It specializes in the production of armored vehicles based on serial vehicles. More often it is civilian equipment, but the company also has armored cars in its arsenal.
Specifically, these are Titan-S vehicles based on the Toyota Land Cruiser 79. You can see them in the photo, which was taken in the abandoned city of Pripyat in northern Ukraine and published by the Defense Blog.
The characteristics of the car are quite modest. With a mass of 4.8 tons, it is equipped with a 128 hp engine. That is, there are only 26.7 horsepower per 1 ton. For off-road such an armored car is not suitable. But on flat roads it can be accelerated to 110 km / h.
The level of armor is acceptable for special police units, but not for combat. The car is only protected against hits from armor-piercing ammunition of 7.62×51 mm caliber (CEN B7 level). The armored car cannot withstand shelling from a large-caliber machine gun.
The machine itself can be armed with one 7.62 or 12.7mm machine gun, which can be remotely controlled from the passenger compartment. There are also 8 loopholes (according to the number of people transported) to shoot.
For comparison, the Russian armored car Typhoon-VDV, equipped with a 350 hp engine, has a 30 mm 2A42 automatic cannon in a housing and a 7.62 mm PKTM machine gun coaxial with it, as well as an AG-30 automatic grenade launcher. In addition, the Russian armored car can withstand the detonation of explosives with a capacity of up to 6 kg of TNT under the steering wheel and up to 4 kg under the bottom.
