How does it drive?

After driving on a broken road, I even decided to check the air pressure in the tires – I sinned they were overinflated so it was too hard for small bumps. But the pressure is normal, which means it’s just a matter of calibrating the springs and shock absorbers. Well, at least F7 isn’t afraid of big potholes.

Under protection, or rather, under a felt boot, I measured 210 mm. If you put a metal shield, it will eat a few centimeters. But 190mm isn’t bad for a crossover.

Different off-road modes change the throttle and bucket characteristics, but I didn’t feel the difference between “snow” or “sand” for example. Driving experience is much more important!

Frankly annoying acoustic discomfort. Noise attacks from all sides. There are two rings of seals in the doorways, but it seems that the door or window is not closed. You can hear every passing car.

19-inch wheels hum even more. Even if you write off some of the howling on large studded tires 225/55 R19, you can not do without installing an additional “shumka”. In our comparative test for acoustic comfort, the F7 would have received barely more than seven out of ten points.

Soundproofing is a problem. But there are few other serious complaints about the updated F7. Beautiful, well equipped. There are more arguments for than arguments against. But the sophistication and integrity of all the consumer qualities of the “Chinese” apparently still have to wait.

Along with the F7, the F7x cross-coupé has also been updated. The list of changes is the same: front and rear bumpers, optics and new options. A new “magmatic red” color is also available for the coupé.

The main differences between the F7 and F7x are in the sloping roof. Leaning back is less comfortable and the head almost touches the ceiling – although there is plenty of legroom. And the trunk was pressed – “under the ceiling” things can not be loaded.
