Ilya Rashkin, general manager of Electric Vehicles Manufacturing Rus, said it is planned to begin mass production of the EVM Pro electric truck in the first quarter of 2023.

“We are moving the serial launch date. At first we thought we would have time to launch by the end of the year – now the launch is scheduled for the first quarter of 2023. This is probably the most significant change in our project that has happened. We plan to produce 1,000 electric trucks annually by 2023 and beyond.” said Rashkin.

He explained the postponement of production to a later date by looking for a partner: the venture fund, with which he managed to agree investments at the beginning of this year, was itself on the verge of bankruptcy and he had to look for a new investor.

In addition, Rashkin complained that during the start-up of production, the company had problems with the purchase of equipment: it was planned to purchase some machines in Europe. After this had to be abandoned, the company started looking for analogues in China.
