AvtoVAZ has shut down the area for welding the bodies of the five-door Lada Niva Legend.
At least for next year, the production of this SUV is not foreseen in the production plan.
The five-door Niva (VAZ-2131) first appeared in the VAZ model range in 1996. In early 2021 it was sold as the Lada Niva Legend. Production of the SUV was discontinued at the beginning of 2022.
Previously, AvtoVAZ stated that the five-door Niva was in fact replaced by Lada Niva Travel, so the “long” Niva Legend will be discontinued.
