Lamborghini does weird things to advertise: sell fragrances, apartment buildings, create Spotify playlists based on engine noises. At the launch of the Huracan Sterrato, Lamborghini behaved suspiciously inconspicuously and simply released promotional videos.
The comments were very vicious.
“I think they had a huge budget, they spent it all on drinking, and then they remembered they had to film something. So they collected all the bottles and cans and made this video with the money they took from the empty containers,” one of the comments on Twitter read.
Another no less cruel comment:
“Did you make all this a three-year-old fungus while you dined long on wine? That must be the only possible reason.”
For those who don’t know English, here are some sentences spoken in the clip:
- This is for you
- Master of speed
- Put on your nicest suit
- Dirt has been made for this
- Dust is gold
- Dirt for the brave
- Let it rain gravel on this dry land
- It’s not dirt, it’s design
- Any amount of dirt is good
- The more you get dirty, the more you shine
A “mother’s humorist» expressed it like this:
Don’t listen to the haters – this ad is my mantra. The next time I get scolded for not cleaning my kitchen, I’ll say it’s not dirt, it’s design.
It’s not clear what Lamborghini wanted to say with this ad. Naturally, all this was approved by the directors, from whom, after the last viewing of the video, the green light was received to publish it on the network. Tasteless – period:
“This ad appears to have been created by a high school student. The result speaks for itself, so stop talking.”
